1. Introduction of Self-compacting Concrete Slump Expansion Flow Meter

The self-compacting concrete flow time tester implements the standard "Technical Specifications for Self-compacting Concrete Application" JGJ/T283-2012. This method is used to measure the filling performance of freshly-mixed self-compacting concrete.

1. The concrete slump cylinder shall comply with the relevant provisions of the current industry standard "Concrete slump meter" JG 3021.

2. The bottom plate should be a smooth square plate of stainless steel with a side length of 1000mm and a maximum deflection of not more than 3mm. Mark the center position of the slump cylinder and concentric circles with diameters of 500 mm, 600 mm, 700 mm, 800 mm and 900 mm on the surface of the flat plate.

3. Auxiliary tools such as shovel, spatula, steel ruler (accuracy 1mm), stopwatch, and container.

2. Test steps of self-compacting concrete slump expansion flow meter

1. Wet the bottom plate and the slump cylinder. There should be no clear water on the inner wall and bottom plate of the slump cylinder; Pedals, slump cylinders should be held in a fixed position while charging.

2. When the fresh concrete sample does not segregate, fill it into the slump cylinder, and use the container to make the concrete mixture flow out evenly. Feeding to the end of filling should be completed within 1.5min without any tamping or vibration.

3. Use a scraper to scrape off the remaining material on the top of the filled concrete in the slump cylinder to make it flush with the upper edge of the slump cylinder. Lifting time should be controlled at about 3s. After the concrete stops flowing, measure the maximum diameter of the expanded circle and the diameter perpendicular to the maximum diameter, and it is enough to measure the diameter once. From the lifting of the slump cylinder to the end of measuring the expanded diameter of the mixture, it should be controlled within 40s.

4. When measuring the time T50 when the expansion degree reaches 500mm, it should start from the time when the slump cylinder is lifted, until the outer edge of the expanded concrete first touches the circle with a diameter of 500mm drawn on the plate, and the time is measured with a stopwatch, accurate to 0.1s.
